At Consolidated Services we have a well deserved reputation for turning around jobs very quickly and being able to work to extremely tight deadlines. We were recently enlisted to remove 59 beds from the luxury 5 star Landmark Hotel in Westminster, where rooms were to be used for a Toy Trade Fair. This event is run at the Landmark Hotel every year, and we have completed this exercise for the past 3 years.
In order to cause the minimum of business disturbance to the hotel, the beds needed to be removed at the last possible minute to keep the rooms profitable for the hotel. As we are a relocation company and moving furniture is what we do best, we know that the items we removed need to be protected effectively. The mattresses were bagged for protection, and the base units are blanket wrapped for transport in the vehicles.
Once removed, the beds needed to be stored off site, in our warehouse, for the duration of the event. We would then return the beds and bases to the hotel, and reinstall in the appropriate rooms.
Timing was critical during this process. The disassembly of the beds could not take place until the rooms were vacated once the guests had checked out. It was important to act as efficiently as possible, without disrupting the serene atmosphere of the hotel.
After the week long event, the beds were returned to site for 10am, to commence reassembly avoiding guest disturbance.
The beds were then carefully installed ready for guest check in, so that the rooms were back in service for the hotel without disrupting their current guests.
Another example of how Consolidated are able to keep major institutions running by providing ‘behind the scenes’ infrastructure support.
